Abstract The ability of nanoparticles having surface hydrophilic polymeric chains to enhance the oral absorption of human calcitonin was examined in rats. The oral relative bioavailability of calcitonin against its subcutaneous administration was 0.01% without nanoparticles, but increased significantly when it was administered with nanoparticles. Nanoparticles having cationic poly(vinylamine) (PVAm) chains on their surfaces had a relatively stronger enhancing effect than did other nanoparticles. When divinylbenzene was added to the nanoparticle preparation, PVAm nanoparticles with a crosslinked hydrophobic polystyrene core were synthesized. The addition of divinylbenzene resulted in nanoparticles with larger zeta potential through the efficient accumulation of hydrophilic PVAm chains on their surfaces; however, inadequate amounts decreased the zeta potential. Changes in the bioavailability proportional to the zeta potential indicated that the cationic moiety is indispensable for inducing the significant enhancement of calcitonin absorption. The chemical structure of nanoparticles could be optimized by introducing nonionic poly(N‐isopropylacrylamide) (PNIPAAm) or anionic poly(methacrylic acid) chains onto the PVAm nanoparticle surface to effectively further improve the absorption‐enhancing function of PVAm nanoparticles. Finally, the maximum bioavailability of 1.1% was achieved after oral administration of calcitonin with PVAm–PNIPAAm nanoparticles whose components, VAm macromonomer, N‐isopropylacrylamine (NIPAAm) macromonomer, and styrene were copolymerized in the molar ratio of 1.5:0.5:10. 相似文献

The ultrasound-assisted crystallization process has promising potentials for improving process efficiency and modifying crystalline product properties. In this work, the crystallization process of fotagliptin benzoate methanol solvate (FBMS) was investigated to improve powder properties and downstream desolvation/drying performance. The direct cooling/antisolvent crystallization process was conducted and then optimized with the assistance of ultrasonic irradiation and seeding strategy. Direct cooling/antisolvent crystallization and seeding crystallization processes resulted in needle-like crystals which are undesirable for downstream processing. In contrast, the ultrasound-assisted crystallization process produced rod-like crystals and reduced the crystal size to facilitate the desolvation of FBMS. The metastable zone width (MSZW), induction time, crystal size, morphology, and process yield were studied comprehensively. The results showed that both the seeding and ultrasound-assisted crystallization process (without seeds) can improve the process yield and the ultrasound could effectively reduce the crystal size, narrow the MSZW, and shorten the induction time. Through comparing the drying dynamics of the FBMS, the small rod-shaped crystals with a mean size of 9.6 μm produced by ultrasonic irradiation can be completely desolvated within 20 h, while the desolvation time of long needle crystals with an average size of about 157 μm obtained by direct cooling/antisolvent crystallization and seeding crystallization processes is more than 80 h. Thus the crystal size and morphology were found to be the key factors affecting the desolvation kinetics and the smaller size produced by using ultrasound can benefit the intensification of the drying process. In this work, solution-processed indium oxide (In2O3) thin film transistors (TFTs) were fabricated by a two-step annealing method. The influence of post-metal annealing (PMA) temperatures on the electrical performance and stability is studied. With the increase of PMA temperatures, the on-state current and off-state current (Ion/Ioff) ratio is improved and the sub-threshold swing (SS) decreased. Moreover, the stability of In2O3 TFTs is also improved. In all, In2O3 TFT with post-metal annealing temperature of 350°С exhibits the best performance (a threshold voltage of 4.75 V, a mobility of 13.8 cm2/V, an Ion/Ioff ratio of 1.8 × 106, and a SS of 0.76 V/decade). Meanwhile, the stability under temperature stress (TBS) and positive bias stress (PBS) also show a good improvement. It shows that the PMA treatment can effectively suppress the interface trap and bulk trap and result in an obviously improvement of the In2O3 TFTs performance. 相似文献

Germanium dioxide (GeO2) aqueous solutions are facilely prepared and the corresponding anode buffer layers (ABLs) with solution process are demonstrated. Atomic force microscopy, X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy and ultraviolet photoelectron spectroscopy measurements show that solution-processed GeO2 behaves superior film morphology and enhanced work function. Using GeO2 as ABL of organic light-emitting diodes (OLEDs), the visible device with tris(8-hydroxy-quinolinato)aluminium as emitter gives maximum luminous efficiency of 6.5 cd/A and power efficiency of 3.5 lm/W, the ultraviolet device with 3-(4-biphenyl)-4-phenyl-5-tert-butylphenyl-1,2,4-triazole as emitter exhibits short-wavelength emission with peak of 376 nm, full-width at half-maximum of 42 nm, maximum radiance of 3.36 mW/cm2 and external quantum efficiency of 1.5%. The performances are almost comparable to the counterparts with poly (3,4-ethylenedioxythiophene):poly (styrenesulfonate) as ABL. The current, impedance, phase and capacitance as a function of voltage characteristics elucidate that the GeO2 ABL formed from appropriate concentration of GeO2 aqueous solution favors hole injection enhancement and accordingly promoting device performance. 相似文献

A pilot plant study of the radiation grafting of styrene to polyvinyl chloride) (PVC) latex is described. When correct extraction conditions are used less than 3% grafting took place. This is shown to be due to the low total radiation doses needed to polymerize the styrene in an emulsion system. A parallel study with PVC film did, however, lead to substantial true grafting. A new nonlinear optical organic crystal l-tryptophan p-nitrophenol (LTPNP) of dimension 19 mm × 2 mm × 1.5 mm has been grown from an aqueous solution for the first time by slow evaporation technique at ambient temperature. The crystal structure of LTPNP was confirmed by single crystal X-ray diffraction. LTPNP crystallizes in non-centrosymmetric monoclinic system with space group P21. The recorded FTIR spectrum confirms the presence of various functional groups in the grown crystal and confirms the formation of LTPNP. Thermal stability and melting temperature of the LTPNP crystal were identified from TG/DTA analysis. The optical absorption study confirms the suitability of the crystal for device applications. LTPNP exhibits SHG efficiency over 1.7 orders of magnitude higher than that of urea and 4 orders of magnitude higher than that of KDP. 相似文献

A new CE method was here developed, in order to study the stability of cocaine and some of its metabolites in water and in oral fluid. At first, standard mixtures of cocaine (COC), benzoylecgonine (BE) and cocaethylene (COET) in water were used to study the optimal CE parameters to separate the three compounds. Voltage, sample temperature and pH were investigated, and 25 kV, 25°C and a pH of 4.7 were selected to achieve the best separation. The stability of the three compounds in water and oral fluid was then monitored by applying the previously developed method. Three different storage temperatures (8, 25 and 37°C) were selected and analyses during a week were performed. A decrease of COC and COET peak areas and an increase of BE peak area were observed over time at 25 and 37°C. In addition, in oral fluid, the presence of enzymes and other proteins, and the differences in the molecular structures between COC and COET, caused a stronger degradation of the first compound. Instead, when samples were stored at a low temperature (8°C), the peak areas of the compounds did not vary. Thus, the use of this storage temperature is recommended, above all when sample must be analyzed after a relatively long time. 相似文献
